Well I think, that the two girls who started stealing the hearts were the guys exes whom he treated badly, and in return they rip out the girls he actually started falling for, his bloody hand is the one he used to rip out the two girls hearts, but since then, they'd cloaked their pain by inflicting it upon others, especially the guy. I really hope that makes sense. -- F.Y.I, I'm a dude.
I seems to me that all the girls on the left are the ones who's hearts the guy "ripped out". But while the Heart Thief was stealing these girls hearts, he wasn't expecting for someone to come up behind him and steal his heart instead.
My interpretation of this piece: The multiple characters with the one at the far most left ( for the girl ) represents the number of different girls who has gotten their heart broken by the heartbreaker. In the end the heartbreaker himself falls for one of the girls, but gets his own heart broken instead. This could be metaphorical for how one falls, but is scorned, but then the scorned one is fallen for instead, and revenge feels sweet.

such a beautiful concept! i like the story it tells to me, it's ingenious how you can actually lead the eye from the left to the right despite the male figure having more contrast than the balanced figure.
I think, the woman closest to the man on the left is his first love. then, the woman behind her came along, stole the man, and ripped the first woman's heart out. The same thing happened with the other woman. And then, the woman with the grin ripped the one before her's heart out, but quickly appeared behind the man to rip his own heart out. He looks at the ones he lost with regret, and pain, now. This is amazing. . . .
HHmmmnnn my interpretation would be that the three women closest to the man on the left are one who have been in a relationship with him but the woman behind the other ripping out the heart of the one in front is the one to be the "other woman" and destroy the relationship, thus moving in and in turn getting their heart ripping out by the next. The woman on the far left seeming to get the better out of all the women is also the woman on the right, ripping out the man's heart. So as she gets the better of the last woman, she hurts the man before the cycle continues. ~ u ~ Lovey though provoking piece.
What's really fascinating me in this artwork is the way you play with the simple elements. Especially creating depth using the red color the blood brings in along the hands. I completely thought the guy was a victim until I did pay closer attention to the blood running down his side and covering his hand. Which leads us to a story of payback. Stunning. C:
